Emily Higgins is an artist from Arlington, Virginia. She is a Studio Art major at Georgetown University, where she serves as a manager and social media intern for the Georgetown Men’s Basketball team. Inspired by her role within the program, her work explores the intersection of sports, identity, and representation. Working across oil painting, graphic design, and mixed media, she creates portraiture and digital content. Her work captures the dedication and emotion behind athletic performance and how athletes are represented across platforms. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in creative design and social media within the NBA, while continuing her painting practice.
