Emily Higgins is an artist from Arlington, Virginia. She is a Studio Art major at Georgetown University, where she also serves as the manager of the Georgetown Men’s Basketball team. Inspired by her role within the program, her work explores the intersection of sports, identity, and representation. Although primarily an oil painter, she also works in graphic design and mixed media. Her pieces often represent the dedication and emotion behind athletic performance, using portraiture to tell stories that exist both on and off the court. After graduation, she hopes to work in creative design and social media within the NBA.
